Volunteer Community

Volunteering for a committee or other service is an excellent way to get the most from your TSCPA membership. TSCPA has many committees and other volunteer opportunities to help members enhance professional skills and make new contacts.

There are a variety of committees and programs that might fit your personal and professional goals as well as time constraints. Benefits of volunteering include:

• Professional and personal growth.
• Development of leadership skills.
• Networking and mentoring opportunities.
• Satisfaction of community involvement.
• Recognition from employers and peers.
• Giving back to the profession.

Committee membership:

The deadline to volunteer for committee membership for the next fiscal year (June-May) is usually in early December. E-mail Rhonda Ledbetter to request appointment to a committee or ask questions.

Step 1: Read the FAQs
Step 2: View list of committees open to all nominees/volunteers.

Alternate Ways To Get Involved:

Besides committee and chapter involvement, TSCPA members can submit articles to Today’s CPA magazine, promote accounting careers at a high school career fair, educate members of a community group about retirement or another personal finance topic, contribute to the CPA-PAC, and much more:
