Galveston County Health District is seeking a new Controller!

The right candidate will be able to assist the CFO and take responsibility over the supervision of the department’s financial accounting and administrative operations.

Required:
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication
- 5+ years working in Accounting, Bookkeeping or similar exp. (P/L, A/P, A/R, Gen Rec etc.)
- 5+ years of experience with computers and software programs, such as Microsoft Office
- 3+years of experience in management
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent Math Skills
- Must have obtained a bachelor’s degree related to finance and administration
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment

Preferred, but not Required:
- Experience working for a FQHC or other medical related role
- Experience working for a governmental organization
- CPA
