Senior Specialist, General Ledger - Austin

Supervisor:
Vice President, Finance

Basic Function:
- Responsible for coordination of financial data for use in maintaining accounting records, financial statements and management reports.
- Prepare and generate monthly financial statements, perform initial review and analysis to present to the Vice President, Finance. Assist with analysis and research of monthly financial statement inquiries from staff and management. Ensure that financial statements are published timely, properly archived in the appropriate network drive for staff viewing, and financial statement hard copies are distributed to appropriate individuals.
- Maintain daily cash balances all THA Group Accounts and update the daily cash balance sheet. Post weekly all Journal Entries to the General Ledger.
- Prepare and electronically file monthly and annual Sales Tax Returns.
- Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience with general ledger account reconciliations and accounting software, preferably Great Plains.1 to 3 years of college preferred with 5 to 7 years of accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel knowledge is required.
- Intercompany/Multi-company experience preferred.
- The individual must be detailed oriented and must be able to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Excellent data entry and analytical skills required. Excellent interpersonal and telephone etiquette skills necessary for communication with outside contacts and employees.
