QUALIFICATIONS/DUTIES:
- Texas Health Resources’ Financial Compliance (Internal Audit) function is seeking a Senior Financial Compliance Analyst for the Arlington corporate location. This position reports to the Director of Financial Compliance.
- Primary responsibilities include leading internal audits and evaluating the adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting, research accounting matters, and ensure proper safeguarding of assets. In addition, this position will focus on audit related to Southwestern Health Resources.
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player, and deadline driven to accomplish departmental and personal objectives as well as demonstrate rigorous problem solving, attention to detail, and a desire for continuous improvement.
- The ideal candidate will also posses the following:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
3 years internal or external audit experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
CPA, CIA, or MBA (preferred)
SKILLS:
- Strong computer skills with emphasis in Excel,
- Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Knowledge and understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and COSO control framework. Strong communication skills.
JOB DUTIES (Including but not limited to):
- Document (via narrative, flowchart, risk and controls matrix) processes deemed key as it relates to THR’s financial reporting. Analyze, test, and report on the design and operating effectiveness of controls in each process
- Execute audit plan developed by Financial Compliance and external audit which will be relied upon in conjunction with annual year end external audit
- Facilitate THR’s monthly and quarterly certification process
