CPE Foundation Policies and Procedures

STANDARDS FOR CPE PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
The fundamental purpose of continuing professional education is to increase the CPA licensee's professional competence to benefits the public. All TSCPA seminars and conferences are instructor-led programs. Other program formats such as Webcasts, Webinars and Online/Text Self Study will be designated accordingly.

REGISTER EARLY
All registrations should be received by TSCPA at least 10 days prior to the course date. If a sufficient number of registrations have not been received, the course will be cancelled.*

All registrations must be accompanied by full payment (check. VISA. MasterCard. Discover or American Express) before your space for the course can be reserved. VISA. MasterCard. Using any other address may cause lengthy delays in your registration processing.

REGISTRATION FEE POLICY
The member course fee is available to TSCPA members; members of other CPA state societies with which a reciprocity agreement has been established; and non-CPAs who work with a TSCPA member. A nonmember fee will be charged to CPAs who are not a member of TSCPA or another state society and non-CPAs who do not work with a TSCPA member. Our online partners and other educational resource partners offer discounts for TSCPA members.

CONFIRMATION

TSCPA will email a confirmation with the program dates, class hours and course site. Occasionally there may be a date or location change so please check the information carefully. If you have not received your confirmation 48 hours prior to the program, please email CPE Customer Service or call the CPE InfoLine to verify registration (800-428-0272 or 972-687-8500 select option 1 or dial ext. 677) .

COURSE HOURS
Eight-hour programs generally run 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. The four-hour ethics program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Summer clusters, conferences and online times vary. Confirmations will indicate the exact times. A seat and material will be held for 30 minutes after the class begins.

WAIT-LIST AND WALK-IN REGISTRANTS
Preregistered individuals who are on the wait list will be admitted in the class 30 minutes after the class begins, if space is available. Walk-in registrants may enroll 15 minutes after wait-listed registrants have enrolled, if seats remain unclaimed. Exceptions to this policy will be denoted in course advertising.

CANCELLATIONS, TRANSFERS AND SUBSTITUTIONS
Cancellations, transfers and substitutions will be accepted with no administration fee ON or BEFORE the course date by contacting the TSCPA Infoline at 800.428.0272 or in the Dallas area 972.687.8500 or email CPE Customer Service. No shows forfeit the entire registration fee.

EDUCATOR DISCOUNT
Full-time educators who are TSCPA members may select one conference of up to 16 hours at a discounted fee. This option may only be used one time per year. Contact CPE Customer Service for more information (800.428.0272 or in the Dallas area 972.687.8500 or email CPE Customer Service).

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
Programs comply with the Continuing Education Standards and Rules adopted by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA). The Texas Society of CPAs CPE Foundation's TSBPA sponsor identification number is 260. Participant credit is given based on actual attendance.

Programs listed on the TSCPA website or in the Register booklet(s) are designed to comply with the Statement on Standards for formal group and formal self-study programs adopted by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) and the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA).

MCLE/CFP
Some CPE courses may also qualify for MCLE or CFP credit courses that qualify are noted in the course descriptions.

GENERAL CLASSROOM POLICIES
Telephones must be turned off or on silent in TSCPA CPE Foundation classrooms. All audio and video recording devices are prohibited in session rooms without written permission for the speaker and the TSCPA CPE Foundation prior to the session. Smoking is prohibited in all TSCPA CPE Foundation classrooms.

By registering for a TSCPA CPE Foundation Inc., program you are authorizing the use of any photograph(s). your name and/or likeness. Participants are not allowed to bring children into any TSCPA-sponsored program.

SALES OR ENDORSEMENT OF RELATED PRODUCTS
The TSCPA CPE Foundation does not endorse any product or vendor in connection with any educational program provided by its members. Further, the CPE Foundation will not be involved with any contracts or negotiations between product vendors and TSCPA members. Instructors are not permitted to make promotional statements regarding particular products.
