TXCPA Corpus Christi has put together an exciting and informative lineup of local fraud experts for a half-day discussion on local fraud trends and what to be on the lookout for. Attendees will walk away from this workshop having learned what to consider in a fraud risk assessment. Space is limited to register today to reserve your seat! Time: 8:30 am - 11:30 am Location: Rally Credit Union, Unity Room, 4th Floor- 2806 Rodd Field Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78414 CPE Credits: 3 Sessions: Financial Crimes Presented by Detectives Marcus Garnzuay and Detective Amado Garcia, Corpus Christi Police Department - Special Investigations Bureau The detectives will highlight current online scams that are being run, and other local financial crimes to be on the lookout for. They will review specific case details that will include a profile of a suspect and victim and the detectives will give tips on how to catch and prevent scams.
Roundtable Discussions Moderated by Anita Cadena and Gregory Carll Participants will split into groups to discuss the three classes of occupational fraud - corruption, asset misappropriation and financial statement fraud.
